This & That

A collection of pictures from many different days that tells the story of our usual routine. Every morning we get homemade fruit smoothies and mom takes the time to pick through our Lucky Charms cereal to glean as many marshmallows as possible.

While she works, we play to our hearts' content.  We love to peruse our tablets, watching all sorts of kiddie videos on YouTube, like Donald Duck cartoons, Tutitu, Disney Princess, Sesame Street Songs, Lightning McQueen and more. We also play puzzles, coloring pages and watch shows through the PBS app.
When Mommy forgets to close the guest bedroom door, we'll gather all the pillows, which contains a fair amount of pillows. I like to pile them on the couch and then climb atop my new mountain. Then the pillows get kicked to the floor where I kamikaze off the couch over and over and over. Vivienne usually joins in.
Vivienne loves to climb up onto Mommy's desk and sit next to her and play with her 'people'. The 'people' are a collection of figurines from Mickey Mouse to Doc McStuffins, to Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, and a few MagiClip Princesses.
We are often asked if we have a special connection as twins. A connection that means we're the perfect friends and get along beautifully.  Uh....no. While we did show up together on the same day, that's pretty much the only thing we have in common. Otherwise we're the typical siblings. Mommy gets really tired of our antics...'he's touching me! he's looking at me! well she started it!' and more. However, we do have shining moments where we play together. It is fun to play chase and scream, whoop and holler.  I've caught Mommy sitting back with a huge smile on her face just watching.
Vivienne decided the leg to her stool made a great elephant's nose and ran around trumpeting one afternoon.
I love to help. I'll do just about anything for you. Such as spread flour everywhere for you to roll cookie dough, or flush a cleaned toilet, or take tissues to clean the walls. I'll occasionally help clean up toys, and I love to scavenge through the cupboards for food.
Vivienne helps too. She loves to sit by Mommy while she works, creating quite a kerfuffle as she's getting a little too big to fit next to Mommy. She also will sit right next to her on the couch when she works on her cross-stitch projects, and sits on the guest bed while she sews quilt tops. Mommy used to say I was the one who needed a twin, but now she's been rethinking and is pretty sure we both needed a twin.
We don't get to play with our dogs often. Sadly, Nivia suffers from seizures, which have been a little more often lately. They tend to make her really sick and she's not quite herself and Mommy worries Nivia will make a mistake and hurt us. Jax is getting really old and ornery. Mommy got bit by him one of the days Nivia was sick with seizures, so now she worries even about good ol' Jax. Right now, our dogs haven't been out of their dog run in days as our gate was knocked down by another wind storm we had. Until the gate's fixed, the dogs' are stuck. Mommy feels terrible and like the worst dog owner in the world. Daddy made up for it last night at the butcher's. He got our dogs some pig ears to enjoy for Christmas.

I am a maniac for anything sugary and whipped cream on a beater is the best!
Daddy and I build a lot of really cool Lego models. The first pair are trucks I built with Mommy. I'm good at directing her where to put each piece, as she's not so great at building. Daddy however, is amazing. He knows just where to put each piece. We built a large diesel tanker and most recently an AWAC.

Mommy has found a new addiction in quilting. She joined a quilt along at the end of October and this blanket is her finished result. I just couldn't resist bombing her photo!
On a somewhat sunny day a couple weeks ago, we braved the wet and went to the park for some fun. We cleared the slide of all its water within a couple runs and had a blast climbing, swinging, bouncing, running and more. We jumped in lots of puddles, having a great time.

Mommy had a tough time helping us figure out costumes for Halloween. It's not her most favorite holiday. She finally settled on the dance gear Aunt Criscell gave Vivienne for her birthday and then made a train for me. The front had a push light that I could turn on and off. I didn't want to wear my engineer's hat. It bugs the hairs on my head.
We had our usual Thanksgiving feast, minus a fried turkey and a smoked turkey instead. The food was delicious even though we didn't sample any of it.

Mommy pulled together a bunch of activities for us to do during December as a month long advent. Most of it was forgotten, as we really just didn't show any interest. We did help mail the Christmas cards and presents to our family in Utah, and we helped a teensy bit with the Christmas candies. We've watched a couple Christmas cartoons, and went out to PIR for Christmas lights (although we fell asleep about five minutes into the drive). We also found a spot along the Willamette River to view the Christmas Ships.
Last night, we finally put up our Christmas tree. Vivienne was enamored and kept saying 'Tree!' over and over. I noticed Daddy squish a bug with some tissue, so I grabbed a large handful and helped wipe down the entire tree. I also helped Daddy put up the Christmas lights. We then helped Mommy put up the tinsel and even posed for a quick picture in front of our Charlie Brown Christmas tree.

We are super excited for Christmas and Santa to come...at least Mommy thinks we should be. She's been cleaning all morning, getting ready for tomorrow's festivities. She even made some sugar cookies yesterday and decorated them. I've been enjoying more than my fair share...at least Mommy thinks so. If she'd just have a cookie every time I had one, besides them being all gone by now, at least she would've gotten her fair share too!
